Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Quantumplug Technologies LLP (Darbhanga, Bihar, India) ("OmegleNet", "we", "us"). By starting a chat, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use OmegleNet.

1. Who can use OmegleNet

  • You must be at least 18 years old. You must confirm you're 18 or older before chatting and, where we ask, complete an age check. If you're under 18, you may not use OmegleNet.
  • You must not use OmegleNet if we've banned you, or if the law where you are prohibits it.
  • OmegleNet is not available in some countries (currently the United Kingdom and Australia). Don't use a VPN or other technical tricks to get around this.

2. What OmegleNet is

OmegleNet connects you at random with another adult for a one-to-one video, voice (audio-only) or text chat. You can add interests to be matched with people who share them. Other users are strangers. We don't verify who they are, and we're not responsible for what they say or do. Don't share personal information you wouldn't tell a stranger.

3. Safety monitoring: what you agree to

To keep OmegleNet safe:

  • Snapshots. During video chats, at random moments (roughly every 20–40 seconds), your browser takes a still snapshot of your own camera or of the video you receive from your partner. Voice-only and text chats are never snapshotted. We check it with automated tools and may have it reviewed by our moderators. We never record audio and never record your video stream or your partner's.
  • Text messages you send are stored for 30 days, even if they're delivered directly to your partner.
  • Reports. Other users can report you. Reports and snapshots may be reviewed by moderators.
  • Enforcement. We may suspend or ban you, including automatically (see section 6).
  • Legal reporting. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement as described in our Law Enforcement & Child Safety Policy.

4. Your conduct

You agree to follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, you must not:

  1. share, show or request any sexual content involving anyone under 18, or try to contact or groom a minor. Zero tolerance. We report it to authorities.
  2. show nudity or sexual activity, or pressure anyone into doing so;
  3. record, screenshot or stream other users without their consent. Recording may also be a crime in many places, including US states that require all parties' consent;
  4. harass, threaten, dox, blackmail ("sextortion") or impersonate anyone, or share someone's intimate images without consent;
  5. post hate speech, promote violence, terrorism, self-harm or illegal activity;
  6. spam, advertise, run bots, scrape, or use automated tools to access OmegleNet;
  7. get around a ban, age check, geoblock, rate limit, captcha or other security measure;
  8. interfere with, attack or reverse-engineer the service, except as the law allows.

5. Your content

You're responsible for what you say and show. You keep any rights you have in it. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to transmit, store, review and use your messages and safety snapshots only to run and protect the service, enforce these Terms and comply with the law. We don't use them for advertising or marketing.

6. Moderation, suspensions and appeals

  • We may remove content, end chats, and suspend or ban devices that break these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or when required by law.
  • Automated decisions. Our systems can automatically suspend a device for up to 24 hours when a snapshot is flagged or when several different users report it. Longer bans are decided by a human moderator, except for known child sexual abuse imagery, which leads to a permanent ban.
  • Statement of reasons. When we restrict you, we tell you what we did, the rule involved, how long it lasts, whether automated tools were used, and how to appeal. Exception: we don't give reasons where that would hurt an investigation or the law forbids it.
  • Appeals. Use the Appeal link on the suspension screen, or email hello@omeglenet.com with your ban ID, within 6 months. A human reviews every appeal. If we find we got it wrong, we lift the ban, and delete the flagged snapshot (unless we must keep it).
  • EU users may also use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under Article 21 of the Digital Services Act, where applicable, and may go to court.
  • Reporting illegal content. Anyone, including non-users, can report illegal content or non-consensual intimate images at /report or hello@omeglenet.com. We act on valid removal requests for non-consensual intimate images within 48 hours.

7. Price

OmegleNet is free to use.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using OmegleNet at any time, and delete your data from the Privacy page. We may suspend or end your access as described in section 6, or stop offering OmegleNet.

9. Disclaimers

OmegleNet is provided "as is" and "as available". We can't guarantee that matches will be available, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that other users will behave well. Automated moderation is not perfect: it will miss some violations and sometimes flag innocent content. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law: (a) we're not liable for other users' conduct or content; (b) we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses; and (c) our total liability to you for all claims is limited to US$50. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, we're responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

11. Indemnity

If you're not a consumer, you'll compensate us for claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful content, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Governing law and disputes

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Darbhanga, Bihar have jurisdiction.
  • If you're a consumer in the EU, UK or another country with mandatory consumer protections, you keep the protection of your home country's mandatory law and can bring claims in your local courts.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll tell you about significant changes on the website before your next chat. If you keep using OmegleNet after changes take effect, you accept them. If you don't agree, stop using OmegleNet.

15. General

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce something right away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer these Terms. We may transfer them to a successor that takes over OmegleNet, and that won't reduce your rights. These Terms are the whole agreement between us about OmegleNet.
