Community Guidelines
OmegleNet puts you face to face with a stranger. These rules keep that safe. They're part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them can get you suspended or banned.
Quick version: be 18+, keep your clothes on, be decent, don't record people, and report anything wrong with F9.
G-1 Adults only
You must be 18 or older. Don't lie about your age or help anyone under 18 use OmegleNet. If your partner looks under 18, end the chat and report them (F9 → "Looks under 18"). We review these reports first.
G-2 No child sexual exploitation, ever
Zero tolerance. That includes any sexual content involving minors, asking minors for images, grooming, or sexualising children in any way, including drawings or AI-generated content. Permanent ban, and we report it to NCMEC and law enforcement.
G-3 No nudity or sexual content
No nudity, sexual acts, sexual exposure or sexually explicit talk aimed at someone who hasn't clearly agreed to it. OmegleNet is not an adult site. Automated tools check video snapshots, and flagged content can get you automatically suspended for 24 hours. Repeat violations lead to longer bans decided by a moderator.
G-4 No non-consensual intimate images or sextortion
Never share or threaten to share intimate images of anyone without consent, and never blackmail anyone. If someone is threatening you, stop responding, report them, and see Getting help. Victims (including non-users) can ask us to remove images at /report. We act within 48 hours.
G-5 Don't record other people
Don't record, screenshot or stream your partner without their clear consent. Recording can be a crime in many places. OmegleNet itself never records audio or video. Our safety snapshots are still images of the video in a video chat (your camera, or your partner's video as you receive it), used only for safety checks.
G-6 No harassment, hate or threats
No bullying, slurs, attacks on people for protected characteristics (race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, nationality), threats of violence, or encouraging self-harm.
G-7 No doxxing or privacy violations
Don't reveal or dig for anyone's personal information: real name, address, workplace, school, IP address, social accounts.
G-8 No violence, terrorism or illegal activity
No graphic violence, gore, promotion of terrorism or violent extremism, weapons or drug sales, or anything else illegal.
G-9 No spam, scams, bots or ads
No advertising, links to paid content, phishing, scams, pyramid schemes, crypto pitches, bots or automated tools.
G-10 Don't get around our safety systems
Don't evade bans (new devices, VPNs, clearing storage), age checks, geoblocks or captchas, and don't cover or disable your camera to avoid safety snapshots while showing prohibited content some other way.
How we enforce

When we act, the suspension screen tells you the rule (for example G-3), how long it lasts, whether an automated system made the decision, and gives you an Appeal link. A person reviews every appeal. Details: Terms §6.
How to report
- In a chat: press F9 (or the Report button), choose a reason, and you'll be moved to a new chat. The person is not told who reported them.
- Outside a chat, or if you're not a user: /report or hello@omeglenet.com.
- Someone is in immediate danger: contact local emergency services first (911 in the US, 112 in the EU, 999 in the UK).
Getting help
- Child sexual exploitation: NCMEC CyberTipline, report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678 (US). In the UK, CEOP (ceop.police.uk). In the EU, national INHOPE hotlines (inhope.org).
- Sextortion or intimate-image abuse: Take It Down (takeitdown.ncmec.org) for images of under-18s, StopNCII.org for adults.
- If you're struggling or thinking about self-harm: [LOCAL CRISIS LINE LIST, e.g. 988 in the US, Samaritans 116 123 in the UK/IE].
Tips to stay safe
- Never share your full name, address, school, workplace or social handles.
- Never send money or intimate images to someone you've just met.
- Anyone can record their screen, even if we don't. Assume anything you show could be captured.
- You can leave any chat instantly with F2 (next) or Esc (stop).
